Mission Completed

A million thanks to everyone who made yesterday's shower a success. It was so much fun!!

DECOR PART 2

It will all come together Saturday, although I am sure it looks like a mess of this and that right now.

GAMES

So, Emily did not want games......

in lieu of those, I am doing the following:

We will have a canvas that I am painting orange. Adam is decorating the bottom with a brown, a green, and a blue dinosaur. Guests will be able to write messages or draw pictures on the canvas with Sharpies.

I am going to share a baby picture of Emily and a baby picture of Adam at the shower and their time, date, length, and weight at birth. I have a small book I am going to let guests pass around after that where they can guess George's info....and write advice if they want.

Also, I will have the "George Hoffman" letters for guests to decorate.

Otherwise, I am expecting about 30 or 35 people, so I think we'll do good just eating and opening gifts.

I am busy at work this week on the George banner and helping the kids with their painted gift to George (it has to be done in several steps).

I will be getting flowers and candles for arrangements/corsages on Friday and plan on white - let me know if you do/don't like that.

Also, I am just going to do plain colored baloons.

No one has vetoed anything yet,so I am assuming you guys like the ideas!

Surprise

The twins are working on a "surprise" for George Michael.

In a moment of my infinite crackheadedness, I realized I used the wrong last name for the blog. I'll need to fix that.

Menu Part 3

The cake is ordered!!! I got the scored cake that usually has rosebuds all over - but insteag will have a brown or orange G in each square :O!!!!!!

GIFT PART 3

Emily is so excited - we ordered her dresser/changing table today! THANKS YOU GUYS!!!!!! It was $399 - Joey insisted on finishing the cost and I didn't turn her down. Gramma is good. So, hopefully, the dresser will arrive before the shower. If not, I will print a picture for anyone who wants to see it.

With that, please be sure to bring your promised contribution to the shower.

Emily's dresser is $400....but is not instock. She is looking for one elsewhere. If she finds it, I will just get her a gift card to the appropriate store and she will make up any cost difference. If she cannot find the right dresser....she wants her bedding and mattress. She is currently deciding and I will let you know when she lets me know. If we do the latter, and there is any change, we will spend the $$ on other things off her registry.
